Hull City in the Premiership for first time in their History.

Hull has at last lost the tag of being the largest city in England never to have had a club in the top football league.

Hull City gained promotion to the Premiership by beating Bristol City 1-0 at Wembley on Saturday in the Championship play-off final; thanks to a stunning first-half volley from 39 year old veteran Dean Windass.

It was perhaps fitting that Windass scored the match-winning goal that could bring an estimated 60 million pounds (about 75 million euros) into Hull City's coffers by playing in the top league. He has been one of the most under-rated strikers in England during his long career.

He returned to his home club only last year after plying his trade - and regularly scoring - at Aberdeen, Oxford Utd, Bradford City and Middlesborough.

Well done to Hull, but they should enjoy it while they can though, because they will certainly be one of the favourites to drop back down into the Championship again at the end of next season!
